Slipping and sliding

The comment to the previous post asked what hairspray on the soles of shoes does - it makes them sticky (wears off quickly though). The duct tape suggestion (in the UK we call it gaffer tape) for getting the opposite effect is a good one. Better, I think, than talcum powder - which is great for the user, not so great for the other dancers who find slippery patches wherever the talc user has walked.

The other suggestion for a dangerously slippery dance floor (I think it was Neil who originally suggested this) is to pour a couple of litres of Coke over the floor and use a mop to spread it around evenly. Not something you can get away with in the average club.

The floor in Risa was fine last night though.
